Lisa

Lisa is a fully qualified secondary English teacher with 14 years teaching and tuition experience. She achieved a First Class Honours degree in English with Education Studies and spent the first 8 years of her teaching career teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level English.

Lisa's teaching approach is calm and engaging; she creates lessons to challenge and inspire pupils of all abilities. She believe that tuition can make a huge difference in developing a student’s confidence and enjoyment of English as well as helping them to make significant progress in the subject.

More About Lisa

Lisa I has extensive experience of preparing students for various exams including SATs, GCSE and A-level and has a proven track record of success. She can also cater for adult learners.

 

While studying for her degree, Lisa worked as a facilitator in Adult Basic Education and helped to develop employability skills in a community and college setting.

She now teaches part time at a middle school teaching English predominantly across Key Stages 2 and 3, but also History and Art to Year 5, catering for a wide range of ability levels.

 

As well as working at a school with Dyslexia friendly status, Lisa has a particular interest in Gifted and Talented provision, having had responsibility for identifying these students and ensuring that their learning needs are met.
